HISTORY OF OIL VALLEY SCHOOL

The inception of Oil Valley School dates back to 1993, when the founding team, with over 40 years of student boarding house management experience, came up with an idea of ushering a new beginning by establishing a school that caters to the need of the people of the Digboi, Bogapani and their surrounding areas. Surrounded by lush greenery and a serene atmosphere, Oil Valley School provides the perfect environment for knowledge building & sharing.

THE VISION OF OIL VALLEY SCHOOL

Education is every child's privilege and at Oil Valley School we ensure that the child enjoys that privilege in an unhindered manner. Started in 1993, this day cum residential co-educational school with affiliation to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi is managed by the 'Jado Lal Memorial Trust'. In order to bring out the dormant potentialities of the child, the school pursues the Seven R's of education, i.e. right, responsibility, writing, reading, arithmetic, recreation and relationship, thus the school takes into account the aesthetic, cultural, mental, moral, spiritual and physical need of the students.

THE AIM OF OIL VALLEY SCHOOL

The basic aim of Oil Valley School is to provide suitable environment, which is necessary to get the best of a student by teamwork of a group of teachers, who culture out the tremendous potentialities of development that lies dormant in a child. Thus, a student knows himself/herself and acquires the confidence to pick up the field, which he/she likes to be in the future.

The school also aims to provide the children general all round education to emerge as a good secular citizen of India, to develop their skills/their personality and leadership ability and to create a sense of feeling so that they can help others to educate the children how to live equally with other students irrespective of financial status and background.

THE WING SYSTEM

Our students are divided into three wings namely Mercury, Venus and Jupiter. Wings help to promote the spirit of competition and sportsmanship among the students. Students in each wing work together to display their talent, share knowledge, and develop leadership skills. Wings provide a great opportunity for students to learn and practice teamwork.  Students gain and enhance their abilities by working with closely with wing masters who are experienced in teaching these essential skills. Wing masters encourage students to take on challenging tasks and to solve problems collaboratively with their teammates. Wings are encouraged to challenge one another and engage in friendly competitions. In this way, all the students are able to learn more about each other as well as their own abilities. And at the end of the year, the wings battle it out for the coveted CROCK HOUSE trophy.
